SEPTA

The SEPTA app is available for Apple and Android systems.

  • Trains stop at all major Philadelphia International Airport terminals, and reach Center City Philadelphia (where the Double Tree is located) in approximately 25 minutes, with one intermediate stop.
  • From the airport, you will get off the train at Suburban Station. (The Double Tree hotel is a 10-12 minute walk from there.)
  • SEPTA now offers a “Quick Trip” one-way fare $6.25. You can purchase this at a kiosk in the terminal with any credit or debit card.
    • good ONLY on the Airport Regional Rail Line for travel FROM the Airport.
    • Quick Trips MUST be used on the date of purchase.   
  • For return travel TO the Airport, purchase a one-way fare at a SEPTA Ticket Office or on-board the train from a Conductor.
  • Tickets purchased on-board trains are cash only and are slightly higher fares than pre-purchased fares.
  • Airport Line service runs seven days a week, between 5:00 a.m. and 12 midnight, at approximately 30 minute intervals.

  • They advise you to call 24-26 hours in advance to guarantee timely airport pick-up, but you can still call when you land and request services.
  • 6-passenger minivans Drivers drop passengers off in order of most efficient travel route.
  • $10 per person. All major credit cards, traveler’s checks , or cash are accepted.
  • Passengers are allowed 1 bag plus one carry-on item for free. Excess luggage may be charged extra at the discretion of the driver.

Recommended pick-up time is:
  • At least 2 to 2.5 hours before departure time for domestic flights
    • At least 3 to 3.5 hours before departure time for international flights

UBER

  • Approximate cost from Philadelphia International Airport to Double Tree Center City is $19-24 for basic service based on UBER’s on-line fare estimator in the link above.
 1.      Request when you’re ready to walk outside.
  • Choose a ride option that suits your group size and luggage storage needs.
2.      Exit on the arrivals level.
  • Riders requesting uberX, uberXL, and uberPOOL should meet their drivers outside baggage claim on the arrivals level. Follow the signs to ground transportation.
  • For UberBLACK or UberSUV, meet your driver at the Zone 6 limo pickup area on the opposite side of baggage claim.
3.      Confirm your location.
  • If prompted, enter your terminal so your driver knows where to find you. If you can't find your driver, contact him or her through the app.

Cash Fare for bus, trackless trolley, subway, and trolley service is $2.25. Cash is accepted for travel on all services. Exact fare must be used.
SEPTA Key Card is a Reloadable Contactless Chip Card available on all SEPTA weekday transportation EXCEPT on the Regional Rail except Airport Line but, AVAILABLE for all Regional Rail Lines on Weekends and Major Holidays as ANYWHERE Pass.  One-way Fare: $2.50; Weekly Fare price: $25.50; Monthly Fare: $96.00. Tokens provide a discount off our Cash Fare and cost $1.80 each. Tokens may only be purchased in packs of two or more. Two cost $3.60; five are $9.00, and a ten pack costs $18.00. They are also available for bulk purchase. Tokens may not be returned at any time for a refund.
Regional Rail fares are based on zones. Knowing the zone of the station you are boarding and traveling to will help you determine the correct fare. PLEASE NOTE: Regional Rail tickets are cash only onboard the train. If you need to pay with credit or debit, you must purchase your ticket before boarding the train at the box office.  Showing Key Card will grant 50% off the Weekday Fare depending on the Zone.
